Why use Nearpeer?

  • Exclusive access for admitted students: Nearpeer is only available to UCCS students, ensuring a safe and supportive community.

How it works:

  1. Admitted students only: Gain access to Nearpeer within 1-2 weeks of being admitted. You’ll receive an email when your account is ready to be set up.
  2. Sign up: Use your @uccs.edu email or the personal email you used when applying to UCCS.
  3. Create your profile: Share a little about yourself— your major, interests, and goals. Select a wide range of interests, as Nearpeer’s algorithm matches you with students who have the most in common with you.
  4. Start connecting: Join groups, message peers, and start building your support circle.
