We know how important it is to feel connected from the very beginning. That’s why UCCS offers Nearpeer—an exclusive platform designed to help first-year and transfer students build meaningful connections and friendships before they even arrive on campus.

At UCCS, we’re committed to helping you succeed by fostering a strong sense of connection and community. Nearpeer makes it easy to connect with peers who share your interests, backgrounds, and goals.

Why use Nearpeer?

How does Nearpeer work?

  1. Admitted students only: Within 1-2 weeks of being admitted, you'll receive an email to set up your account. You can use your UCCS student or personal email to set up your account.
  2. Sign up: Create your profile by sharing about yourself: your major, interests, and more!  Selecting a wide range of interests will help Nearpeer's algorithm match you with others who have most common with you.
